Immediate Openings
Young Children’s Community (YCC) Lead Guide
for children ages 18 months-3 years old
Qualifications:
- Montessori training diploma for 0-3 years (required)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience working with children 18 months – 3 years of age (preferred)
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Adhering to the PWMS mission, for the purpose of maintaining quality and excellence.
- Preparing and maintaining a Montessori environment for children 0-3 years old.
- Observing, directing and supervising children in accordance with Montessori pedagogy and Pinewoods Montessori School policies.
- Building and maintaining meaningful partnerships with families.
- Collaborating with and giving active support to colleagues.
- Modeling integrity, curiosity, responsibility, creativity, and respect for all persons, with an appreciation for racial, cultural, and gender issues and diversity.
Physical requirements include:
- The ability to stand for long periods of time
- Hand dexterity
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Walking between transitions and playground monitoring
- Ability to sit on the floor and transitioning from sitting to standing throughout the day
Young Children’s Community (YCC) Assistant Guide
for children ages 18 months-3 years old

- 3+ years of experience working with children 18 months – 3 years of age (preferred)
- Montessori training and/or 3+ years working in a Montessori setting (preferred)
